ATHLETIC TRAINING FACILITIES

The Athletic Training Education Program has multiple spaces available on campus for classroom and laboratory instruction.

AT LABORATORY

The Athletic Training Lab located in Proctor Hall East (B-50) is a classroom/laboratory equipped with an image projection system, CPR mannequins, an adjustable height treatment table, 4 channel electrical stimulation unit, a HiVolt electrotherapy unit, an ultrasound unit, paraffin bath, hydrocollator, a cycle ergometer, various emergency care, assessment, and rehabilitation equipment, and instructional materials (books, 3 student research computer terminals with a networked printer, anatomical models).

 

 

AT CENTER

The Campbell Athletics Center houses the main Athletic Training Center. Directly off the Pride Field, the AT Center houses a 3,000 square foot treatment and rehabilitation space available for all student-athletes. The facility is equipped with 4 taping stations, 4 treatment tables, and a low mat table in addition to extensive open space for functional exercise. Equipment available in the AT Center includes a treadmill, cycle ergometers, TotalGym, foamrollers, stair stepper, two 4 channel electrotherapy and ultrasound combination units, one ultrasound unit, two whirlpools, hydrocollator, paraffin bath, and an intermittent combination unit.

SPORTS PARK AT CENTER

The Greensboro College Sports Park houses a satellite AT Center that provides treatment and rehabilitation space for field sports (Football, Soccer, and Lacrosse). Open when teams are practicing at the Sports Park, the AT Center has 4 treatment tables, 2 electrotherapy combination units, 2 whirlpools, 2 taping stations, and a variety of treatment and rehabilitation equipment.

 

 

 

Additionally, the Division of Kinesiology utilizes Hanes Gymnasium, Pride Field, the gyms and weight rooms at the Reynolds Family Student Life Center, the GC Sports Park, and the Athletic Training Center as classroom and laboratory settings for class.
